Sri Lankan comedian, writer, and director Vidura Bandara Rajapaksa brings his new stand-up show Paradise Gothic to The Bell House in Brooklyn.
Known for his distinctive deadpan delivery, Rajapaksa blends irreverent humor with sharp observations about culture, identity, and contemporary life. His previous self-written and self-directed comedy specials include Monsoon Season, French Kiss Tunnel, and Woodapple Jam.
In Paradise Gothic, Rajapaksa turns his attention to immigration, “radical” Buddhism, and life in today’s run-by-numbers world, approaching weighty subjects with the dark, unconventional comedy that has become central to his work.
