The production explores the rich cultural connections between music\, storytelling\, rhythm\, and movement through newly choreographed works performed live in the heart of Lincoln Center.\nThe performance features renowned Rajasthani musicians Sadiq Khan\, Asin Khan\, and Zakir Khan Langa—collectively known as SAZ—alongside acclaimed young Kathak dancer Tarini Tripathi. The narrative framework is conceived by arts curator Divya Bhatia and draws inspiration from the oral traditions of Rajasthan’s Langa community.\nTraditional folk songs from the deserts of western Rajasthan are paired with Kathak compositions and poetry\, creating a contemporary interpretation of centuries-old performance traditions.
