Professional Dance Workshop with Akram Khan Company

As part of Lincoln Center’s Summer for the City and the inaugural Lincoln Center Contemporary Dance Festival, this special workshop offers dancers a rare opportunity to work directly with members of the internationally acclaimed Akram Khan Company. Participants will explore movement practices, creative processes, and choreographic ideas that have made the company one of the most influential forces in contemporary dance.
The workshop coincides with the company’s New York engagement of Thikra: Night of Remembering, the U.S. premiere of Akram Khan’s latest work. Educational programs such as this workshop are designed to give dancers deeper insight into the artistic methods behind the festival’s featured productions.
